This is a joint effort between Northwest Voyageur Canoe and Kayak Club and Bow Waters Canoe Club!

Thanks to some well placed municipal infrastructure we have a nice section of open water on the Bow River in Calgary. We will paddle from Graves Landing to Policeman's Flats. A distance of about 22km. Due to the cooler weather and very cold water this is not a beginners trip. Immersion dress such as wet suit, neoprene paddle pants and shirt or drysuit are required.  

Fun Facts: Some small wave trains to hit - or miss!

Level/Class: Novice Trip in town, enjoy the Chinook Weather (hopefully!)

Description: Easy river, low water, but cold.  Proper winter paddling gear recommended

Difficulties of Rapids: No named rapids, avoid bridge piers

Expected Flow: Low 

Duration: Half day

Equipment: Cold weather paddling gear recommended

Shuttle: Easy and quick shuttle
