Our club nights are open to members and the public.  Doors open at 6:30 pm.

BWCC member Elizbeth J. Haynes is a seasoned traveler. Calgary-based, she is also a writer of multiple genres including fiction, The Errant Husband (2021); short story, Speak Mandarin, Not Dialect (1999); and memoir, Food for the Journey: A Life in Travel  (May 2025). Elizabeth is the recipient of numerous awards and was writer-in-residence at the Calgary Public Library (2023).

Elizabeth's presentation will draw upon her latest work and will incorporate kayaking the Sea of Cortez and a boat trip down Bolivia's Ibare River.
