Join Cindy and Michael to hear details and stories of their 180 km paddle on the Churchill RIver - travelling from Pinehouse to Missinipe, in the amazing Canadian Shield of Northern Saskatchewan. Their group consisted of eight people and two dogs. The trip had the enjoyment of gourmet food, amazing sunsets, the transition of boreal to shield camps (all of which were amazing and beautiful), distant forest fires, an afternoon coffee at a fishing camp, pelicans everywhere you looked, and bears. While the paddling was dominated by endless miles of flat water, the group capitalized on every opportunity to avoid portaging and spent a number of days playing and navigating through Class I, II, and III rapids - with only the occasional river bottom inspection.
