Rocky to Drayton Valley

This trip has been posted to give you the option of carrying on from the Nordegg to Rocky trip. However, there is no reason that we can not pick up paddlers in Rocky who wish to paddle only this portion.Likewise, there is nothing stopping paddlers from finishing up at Rocky. I am assuming that anyone who wishes to paddle Nordegg to Drayton Valley will only wish to spend the one night at the Elbow for a total of 4 nights on the river (5 including the Thursday night at Nordegg).

This will be co-coordinated with Fred Brotherton as he has run this section many times. This run includes 2 nights on the river. The first night will likely be either Buster Creek Road or the Baptiste River confluence. The second, will likely be either the Brazeau River forks or Boggy Hall. The takeout will be at the Wiley West Campground; now known as Elevated Experience Camping.
