8 members in 4 tandems. It was raining hard at the put in but slowly dried up as the day progressed. River was running very fast (10kph). Portage is quite long, but went smoothly. From there it was a short run to a nice little canal finish at Sask River Crossing. On Sunday we had two wonderful ladies from Michigan join us for the 36km run to Preachers Point. One in a kayak and the other in a solo playboat. Stunning day with jaw dropping scenery. We all got through the whirlpool rapid without incident by following the perfect line set by Peter and Silvia Kozlik. Got to Preachers Point just after 3 pm. Many thanks to a fabulous group of fellow paddlers. Hard to believe that we have such an amazing stretch of river right in our back yard. Only saw one other pair of paddlers on the river.
