Car Camping at the Village of Alliance Campground. Supplies clean washrooms with showers, cook house, picnic tables, firepits and trees!! Fee is $20/night.  BWCC has prepaid 4 spots.  Please pay Laura the spaces you are in.  If more than 4 families arrive, there is a slot to place your money.  Please bring an envelope!!   We traveled north on highway 36 from highway 9.

This is a Novice River with many bends, so will give you plenty of opportunity to practice your steering strokes of Draw, Cut, J, Pry. If new to paddling kayak, SUP or canoe, please take a course of how to paddle a river…you will have a much more positive experience understanding how your boat moves.

For any mid-week paddlers, you are welcome Thursday / Friday.  Mid-week paddlers, my schedule has changed, so I will be arriving Friday evening.

The river offers a close up to wildlife.  Mike Hart and I checked out the river Friday May 20, paddled 6 hours (incl stop breaks) and were amazed the wildlife up close!!.  Counted 8 beavers swimming and on the banks, 2 deer, woodpeckers, swallows, ducks geese plus many other birds we didn’t know the names to.   The section of water we paddled has a few small features of beaver dams to cross, all very passable, a couple of small surfing waves, 1 ledge about 2 feet.  Water level is low by about 2 feet but very passable and does have a slow current, which is good, gives time to look around.

This is a new river on our schedule, we hope that you join us.

If you have any questions about this trip, please email me or text 403-277-1599.  Event date has begin, so please know there are a few more spaces to join us.  Text or call Laura.
